My card features the Lucky Charm image.

After coloring the image with Tombow markers, it was die cut with Spellbinders’ Label 10.  Meadow Spark glitter was added using a glue pen.

The background was created with Sue Wilson Designs background die from her Carribean Island Collection, cut from sticker paper.  This was covered with Meadow Spark glitter and layered over decorative paper.

Groovin'

http://sparklensprinkle.com/o/product_info.php?cPath=82_243&products_id=8451

Do you remember Disco?  Today’s card brings back the magic of that time, using the new Disco Fever stamp set, along with the four new neon glitters - Electrified Yellow, Energized Orange, Exhilarated Green, and Exulted Pink.

The background for this card used the Bokeh Technique.  The circles were created using Versamark Ink with two different size sponge applicators.  These were heat set with Sparkle Embossing Powder.  Then the different colors of glitter were added by stamping the circles with Versamark again, adding the glitter (one color at a time), and heat setting again.

 A glue pen was used
to add the Exulted Pink to part of the sentiment and strips of 1/8" Double Sided "Tear-ific" Tape were used to add the additional neon glitters.

Have a “cool” day!

Live, Love, Laugh!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine’s Day and some time with those you love.  I had fun spending the day with Just For Fun, helping with their Make N Take at the stamp convention in Columbia, SC.  After a great weekend with lots of delightful stampers, I made it home in time to go out for desert with the hubby.  I have to admit that I somehow ran out of gas on the way home (problem with my gas gauge), but with the help of a sweet, young couple I still made it home on a timely basis.

I have one more Valentine’s card to share, though you easily could use it for other occasions.

The JFF image, StampTangle Garden Heart, was heat embossed in white.  Then the Stacked Blocks stamp was inked with Distress Ink and lightly spritzed with water and stamped across the background, alternating colors.  Excess ink was wiped off of the embossed image and a few splatter drops added.

The sentiment, from JFF’s Sentiments 1 Unmounted Sheet, was stamped with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and a sheer bow and jewels were added to the card front.

Have a wonderful week.

Valentine's LOVE

February is one of my favorite times to make cards.  I started making cards because I wanted them to be more personal and let friends and family know how special they are to me.  I want them to be extra special when they say “I love you”.

This Valentine’s card uses the Old Medicine Bottle and has the look of a shaker card.  It was stamped on two pieces of cardstock, one was cut out and layered over the other with a piece of acetate behind the cut out window and stamped cork to add to the look of the bottle.

I stamped and cut out the hearts from the Sentiment Hearts Mini Cube and layered these “inside” the bottle, popping up several of them.  Coordinating colored sequins were added inside and outside the bottle.

The Love Letters was stamped with Barn Door Distress Ink and edged with Spun Sugar and layered over the bottle.

I like to think whoever receives this card will feel truly special.
